How long are therapy sessions?

A standard therapy session is 50 minutes.

Do you take insurance?

Although I do not take insurance, I am more than happy to complete insurance forms and provide statements of services provided for reimbursement purposes.

How do I know if I have experienced trauma?

If thinking about a stressful event brings up intense emotions or physical sensations—like anxiety, tension, or discomfort—it may be a sign that your body and mind still carry the imprint of trauma. Trauma isn’t defined by the event alone, but by how it lives in you. If something feels unresolved or overwhelming, it’s worth exploring with care and support.

What are examples of traumatic events?

Big “T” trauma often involves life-threatening or deeply disturbing events, such as abuse, violence, serious accidents, war, sexual assault, or natural disasters. These experiences can leave lasting emotional and physical imprints.

Little “t” trauma may be less obvious but still deeply impactful. Things like divorce, being bullied or teased, losing a pet, job loss, or a painful breakup can shake our sense of safety and self-worth.

No matter the size or shape of the trauma, what matters most is how it affects you. If something feels heavy, overwhelming, or unresolved—it’s worth honoring and exploring.
